Projects
Welcome to AFRIFASS CIC’s Projects page. Here, you’ll find an overview of our key initiatives aimed at empowering and supporting African and minority families in the UK. Each of our projects is designed to address the unique challenges faced by ethnic minority communities, with a focus on fostering inclusion, resilience, and positive outcomes for families and children. We hope to secure adequate funding in order to embark on the projects
Parenting Education Initiative
Our Parenting Education project addresses the need for culturally aware parenting among low-income and ethnic minority families. The project equips parents with knowledge about UK parenting systems, child development, safeguarding practices, and proactive parenting strategies. Over 40 weeks, 60 families will receive tailored sessions to enhance their parenting skills and create safer environments for their children.

This initiative delivers safeguarding education specifically tailored to ethnic minority families and professionals working with these communities. Our training covers abuse recognition, managing cultural conflicts in safeguarding, and equipping families with knowledge to protect their children effectively.

Through culturally sensitive counselling and community-based interventions, we address mental health challenges and work to reduce stigma, ensuring families have access to the help they need.
Support for Women and Migrant Mothers
